OBJECTIVE
To paint and photograph the natural world.
EDUCATION
From 2010 until 2018, Rouillier studied painting with Dr. James Conlon, Professor Emeritus, University of South Alabama Art Department. She also studied painting with Billie Sheldon at the John C. Campbell Folk School, and with Ginger Woechan, at Mobile City’s Lavretta Arts Center.

PERSONAL
Susan Rouillier has been drawn to nature all her life. At the University of Melbourne she was a Commonwealth Scholar and did invertebrate research at Wilson’s Promontory in Australia. She graduated with a Biology degree and went on to teach in Australia, Japan and the United States. Rouillier set up a joint ecological project between Meiji Gankuen High School in Kitakyushu, Japan and The School of Math and Science in Mobile, Alabama, funded by the Fulbright Master Teacher Program.
Today Rouillier lives on Mobile Bay where she paints and photographs the natural world of the vast and unique delta. She has traveled to Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador and Australia to take bird images.
